The Kalte Mürz is the left source river of the Mürz in the Lower Austrian - Styrian border area.

It rises north of the Schneealpe , flows eastwards, where it joins the Silent Mürz in Neuwald in the uppermost Mürz Valley and is henceforth called Mürz. The valley of the Kalten Mürz is a popular entry point to the Schneealpe.
