Location and description
The cold cheek lies between Stetten and Grießen . On its flank is the road 161a, on which the Kalter Wangen hill climb took place from 1967 to 1988 . In a few places they are traversed by fossilized coral reefs that have left fossils such as corals, sea urchins, etc. a. exhibit. A strata of the barley sand channel runs through the summit of the Kalten Wangen , which is developed at the Riedern am Sand sand pit . The summit itself is glacial and covered with Nagelfluh .
