Grießen is a district of the municipality of Klettgau im Klettgau in the district of Waldshut .

history

The Grießen Castle of the Lords and Knights of Grießen was once located in Grießen . On August 1, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Grießen became part of the municipality of Klettgau as part of the Baden-Württemberg regional reform . In 1275 the church belonged to the Tengen deanery. On November 4, 1525, a peasant revolt was put down and the Baptist Hans Rebmann was blinded.

economy

Grießen is an old market town. Markets have been held here since the Middle Ages and until today. In total, Grießen has always had the right to hold four markets a year.

traffic

This is where the A 98, a single-lane bypass, will temporarily find its end point. From Tiengen-Ost, the route from the previous end point in the Eichwald (Lauchringen district), where it meets the B 314 , to Geißlingen is only a single lane as "Oberlauchringen bypass" to the provisional end point approximately at the level of the Grießen stop of the Hochrheinbahn . Here it will flow into the B 34 , which leads in the direction of Erzingen to customs in Switzerland in the canton of Schaffhausen on Hauptstrasse 13 . It has been approved and the bridge over the B 314 has already been completed. The construction of a bridge over the Wutach will follow. The expansion essentially follows the edge of the forest east of the Klettgau basin below the Küssaburg , near the district boundary to Schwerzen . → Map of the probable route ( 47 ° 37 ′ 51.7 ″  N , 8 ° 19 ′ 59.9 ″  E ). There is only one planning right for one federal highway. A later expansion to a motorway A 98 is no longer possible due to the parameters that must not be adhered to. The A 98 thus ends in the eastern district of the Waldshut-Tiengen district.
