origin
Johann II von Heideck came from the Swabian-Franconian dynasty of the von Heideck family . The eponymous place is Heideck , today a town in the Central Franconian district of Roth . He was the son of Friedrich I. von Heideck und Adelheit, a born Countess von Henneberg-Aschach .
Life

In the summer of 1422 he was a prince-bishop participant in the Reichstag in Nuremberg , where the action against the Hussites was discussed. During the Bavarian War he negotiated a ceasefire so that he could concentrate on fighting the Hussites. He was previously an opponent of Ludwig VII.
