The Kalwesbach is a left tributary of the Lottenbach in Bochum-Querenburg . It is the largest tributary of the Lottenbach. It rises on Lennershofstrasse at the Bochum University of Applied Sciences and flows in a notch valley between the Ruhr University Bochum , the Botanical Garden of the Ruhr University Bochum and the Kalwes mountain through the Klosterbusch forest into the Lottental. It absorbs wastewater from both universities. It flows into a reservoir of the Lottenbach to the west of the Klosterbusch colliery . Its water quality is grade II.
