The Kam Tin Tree House

Kam Tin ( Chinese 錦田 / 锦田 , Pinyin Jǐntián , Jyutping Gam ² tin ⁴ ), officially Kam Tin Heung ( 錦田鄉 / 锦田乡 , Jǐntiánxiāng , Jyutping Gam ² tin ⁴ hoeng ¹ ) is an area between the Sha Tin District and the Tsuen Wan District in the New Territories in Kowloon , Hong Kong SAR . Kam Tin belongs to the districtYuen Long .

Kam Tin was originally called Sham Tin ( 岑田 , Céntián , Jyutping Sam ⁴ tin ⁴ ). The name was already changed in the time of the 13th Ming Emperor Wanli (1563-1620).

Sights include a former house overgrown by a tree, the Kam Tin Tree House.
