Kamila Benschop

Kamila Julia Benschop , née Kamila Julia Blumski (* in Olsztyn , Poland ) is a German sports journalist and presenter .

Life

Kamila Benschop grew up in Krefeld and graduated from high school at the Stadtpark in Krefeld . After graduating from high school, Benschop studied at the Fontys in Venlo. As part of her studies, Benschop completed an internship at Fortuna Düsseldorf and then worked as an interpreter and integration officer for Fortuna Düsseldorf, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Borussia Mönchengladbach . Benschop also wrote for the sports department of the Rheinische Post in Krefeld. Benschop trained as a moderator in 2013 at Kathy Weber's moderation school in Berlin . Benschop has been a presenter for the TV channel Magenta Sport since February 2019 .

As a competitive athlete in athletics, Benschop took part in numerous competitions for SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen as a teenager . Due to an injury, however, she ended her athletics career in 2003 and founded a cheerleading club in 2005 . The club belongs to the sports club SC Bayer 05 Uerdingen and is one of the largest cheer loader clubs in Germany.

Benschop is married to the professional soccer player Charlison Benschop . The couple have two children together.
