Kamila Kerimbayeva ( Kazakh Камила Керімбаева , English transcription Kamila Kerimbayeva; born June 18, 1995 ) is a Kazakh tennis player .

Career

Kerimbayeva began playing tennis at the age of seven, her preferred terrain being the clay court. So far, she has won ten singles and eight doubles titles at the ITF Women's Circuit .

At the Asian Games in 2014 she reached the eighth finals; on the side of Julija Putinzewa and Jaroslawa Schwedowa she won the bronze medal in the team competition with the Kazakh team.

Kerimbayeva was nominated for the Kazakh Fed Cup team for the first time in 2015 . She and her partner Julija Putinzewa could not win any of their three doubles against Thailand , Taiwan and China .

In August 2017 she played her last international tournament for the time being. After that, she was banned by the National Anti-Doping Organization of Kazakhstan for two years from September 25, 2017.

From October 2019 she competed again in qualifications for ITF tournaments. While there were no successes in singles, she was able to reach a semi-final and a final in doubles at ITF tournaments in Cairo in January 2020.
