The canton of Witzenhausen was an administrative unit in the Eschwege district of the Werra department in the Napoleonic kingdom of Westphalia . The main town of the canton and seat of the justice of the peace was the city of Witzenhausen in today's Hessian Werra-Meißner district . The canton comprised a city and 19 villages and manor districts.
