Michael M. Lutz

Michael Lutz (born March 1, 1912 in Aresing ; † July 1, 1995 ) was a German artist .

Life

After finishing school in Schrobenhausen, Lutz completed an apprenticeship as a painter and passed his master's examination in Munich . He was admitted to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . After the war, he resumed studies with Franz Nagel in 1947 and graduated in 1953.

Between 1954 and 1972 he taught at the master school for painters in Munich and as a teacher at the vocational training center for construction and design. During this time he worked closely with the Doerner Institute and the Bavarian State Office for Monument Preservation on the restoration of old works of art .

On his 80th birthday, the Eichenau artist group organized an exhibition entitled “Retrospective 1937 to 1992 Painting, Graphics and Architecture”.

Memberships

Michael Lutz was a member of the Fürstenfeldbruck artists 'association and a founding member of the Eichenau artists' group.
