Pulpit (Ammerschwihr)
The pulpit in the Catholic Church of St-Martin in Ammerschwihr , a French parish in the Haut-Rhin department of the Grand Est region , was created in 1888. In 1982 the neo-Gothic pulpit was classified as a monument historique .
The stone and wood pulpit was created by the sculptor Théophile Klem. The four evangelists are depicted with their symbols on the pulpit made of sandstone .
The sound cover in the form of a Gothic pinnacle has a wooden figure of Christ inside .
The inscription: “Th. Klem fecit ”and the year 1888. The semicircular staircase has a railing in the form of a tracery .
