Pulpit Fronsac (Gironde)
The pulpit in the Church of St-Martin in Fronsac , a French commune in the Gironde department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region , was created in the 18th century. The baroque wooden pulpit was added to the list of listed buildings ( Base Palissy ) in France in 2004 as Monument historique .
The pulpit on the left side of the nave was originally in the church of St-Jean de Libourne and was moved to Fronsac in 1840. The sound cover is crowned by a sculpture of a saint.
The pulpit and stairs are richly decorated with carvings.
