The Cape Adams is a steeply sloping cape at the southern end of Bowman Peninsula and bounded to the north, the entrance to Gardner Inlet on the east coast of the West Antarctic Palmer Lands .
It was discovered during the Ronne Antarctic Research Expedition (1947-1948) under the direction of the US polar explorer Finn Ronne , who named it after Charles J. Adams (1921-2002), a pilot in the United States Army Air Forces and participant in the Research trip.
