Cape Kerr is a tall and snow-capped cape on the Hillary coast of Antarctica's Ross Dependency . It is located on the north side of Barne Inlet , the inlet of the Byrd Glacier from the Transantarctic Mountains into the Ross Ice Shelf .
Participants in the Discovery Expedition (1901–1904), led by British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott, discovered it. It is named after the former First Sea Lord Walter Kerr (1839–1927), who supported the research trip .
