Map of Bouvet Island with Cape Lollo (right) |
Cape Lollo ( Norwegian Kapp Lollo ) is a small cape on the east coast of Bouvet Island . It is located a good 5 to 6 km from Cape Valdivia , the northernmost point of the island, but in contrast to this it is less characteristic. The Mowinckel Coast extends to the south and the Victoria Terrace Coast to the northwest .
The land point was first mapped in 1898 during the Valdivia expedition of the German Carl Chun . Another mapping and the naming of the cape took place in December 1928 during a Norwegian expedition under Harald Horntvedt (1879-1946).
