Cape Möbius is a cape on the Scott coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located west of the Campbell glacier tongue , 5 km east of Mount Browning , 10 km north-northeast of the Mario Zucchelli station and marks the northeast boundary of the entrance to Gerlache Inlet , a side bay of Terra Nova Bay .
Scientists from the German expedition GANOVEX IV (1984–1985) named it after Richard Möbius, who was involved as a pilot in the GANOVEX IV flight mission. He died in 1985 on his return flight from Antarctica when the research aircraft Polar 3 was shot down in Africa. A peninsula about 30 kilometers east of the cape was named analogously as the Polar 3 peninsula .
