The Gerlache Inlet is a 6-km wide bay on the Scott Coast of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is located in the northwestern part of Terra Nova Bay in front of the Northern Foothills immediately south of Mount Browning . To the east it is bounded by the tongue of the Campbell Glacier .
The naming apparently took place in the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) under the direction of the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott . It is named after the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery (1866–1934).
