Cape Timberlake is a massive cape on the Hillary coast of East Antarctica, Victoria . It lies on the west side of the confluence of the Skelton Glacier with the Ross Ice Shelf .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the Cape in 1964 after Lieutenant Commander Lewis G. Timberlake (1924–1993) of the United States Navy , who was responsible for public relations at McMurdo Station in 1962.
