The Roman Catholic chapel Bad Innerlaterns is located near Bad Innerlaterns in the municipality of Laterns in the Feldkirch district in Vorarlberg . She is St. Mary Magdalene and St. Anthony of Padua and belongs to the Expositurkirche Innerlaterns and thus to the Deanery Rankweil in the diocese of Feldkirch . The building from 1870 is a listed building ( list entry ). The chapel ( 1150  m above sea level ) is around 3.8 km from Innerlaterns, around 6.8 km from Laterns and around 18 km as the crow flies from Rankweil .

history

The chapel was built in 1870 for the pastoral care of the guests of the spa. From 2013 to 2015 the chapel was renovated and on Ascension Day (May 14, 2015) another blessing was given as part of a St. Mass performed (Pastor Pius Fäßler).

Church building

It is a building with a rectangular basic shape, about 7 m long and 3.5 m wide and in a south-east / north-west orientation. The building is about 5 m high. To the northwest (altar) the outer walls are sloping and built into the slope. At about the same height as the simple wooden altar there is an arched window on the left and right .

The simple wooden door is to the south-east (in a vestibule ), the square, about 4 m high, bell ridge turret on the gable roof to the north-west above the altar. The gable roof is covered with Eternit roof shingles.

The prayer room has a flat ceiling and a suggested retracted choir wall.

Furnishing

The pews made of fir wood are kept simple and offer space for 18 worshipers. The chapel has a small altar, on the left with a statue of Mary with the inscription: “ Fatima ”, in the middle a statue of St. Anthony of Padua and on the right a statue of Jesus .
