The band Genholland is in the district Genholland in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ), Genholland 38th

The structure was built in the 19th century. It was entered in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach on June 2, 1987 under No. G 021 . The Chapel of the Birth of Mary is a testament to rural popular piety , and there is a public interest in its preservation and use.

The chapel "Mariä Geburt" belonging to the parish of St. Helena Rheindahlen is located in the center of Genholland. Access to the brick building, which is free on all sides, is through the entrance door on the street side with an arched entrance door.

In the gable above the arched arch there is a round niche in which there is a statue of the Madonna. Above the statue the roof. The corners of the facades are bricked out and give the impression of wall pillars. In the sides of the chapel there is a pointed arch window with a sill ; the house of prayer closes on three sides. The roof is covered with hollow tiles , along the ridges and verge with slate . It has a roof turret with a cross and a weathercock .
