Karaabalı (also: Karabalı) is a village in the Central Anatolian province of Yozgat . The village belongs to the district of Sorgun and is located approx. 9 km north of the district capital. Karaabalı is located between two hills in a valley at 1230 m above sea level.

Karaabalı had a total of 189 inhabitants in 2010. Numerous residents have left the village since 1960. Around 300 former residents of Karaabalı live in Hamburg-Bergedorf .

The village was founded in the 19th century. Karaabalı received the first elementary school in 1962.
