The Karasuu ( Kyrgyz Кара-Суу ; meaning "black water"; in the upper reaches Капка-Таш / Kapka-Tasch) is a left tributary of the Naryn in Kyrgyzstan ( Central Asia ).
The Karasuu forms the outflow of the lake of the same name Karasuu in the far north-west of the Ferghana Mountains . The main source of the Karasuu is the Kapka-Tasch . The Karasuu initially flows in a west-northwest direction. About 5 km south of the Toktogul reservoir , the M41 road overcomes a mountain pass when coming from the north and then runs along the course of the Karasuu river in the west-southwest direction to the town of Karaköl . 4 km to the west, the Karasuu flows into the Kurpsai reservoir through which the Naryn flows . The river has a length (including the headwaters of the Kapka-Tasch) of 89 km. It drains an area of 1080 km². The mean discharge is 10.4 m³ / s.
