Until 1935, Kardorf-Hemmerich was a municipality in what was then the district of Bonn in the Prussian Rhine Province . Today Kardorf-Hemmerich is a district of the city of Bornheim in the Rhein-Sieg district in North Rhine-Westphalia .
geography
The municipality Kardorf-Hemmerich consisted of the two places Kardorf and Hemmerich , which are located on the northeast slope of the foothills . Both places are now separate localities of the city of Bornheim. The former municipality of Kardorf-Hemmerich had an area of 6.66 km².
history
Since the 19th century, Kardorf-Hemmerich formed a rural community in the Waldorf mayor in the Bonn district. On July 1, 1935, the communities Bornheim-Brenig , Kardorf-Hemmerich, Roisdorf and Waldorf were merged to form the new community Bornheim .
