Karel Dujardin
Karel Dujardin (born September 27, 1622 in Amsterdam , † November 20, 1678 in Venice ) was a Dutch painter and graphic artist.
Little is known about his training: According to Houbraken , he was a student of N. Berchem . Around 1640 he was in Rome , in 1650 he returned to Amsterdam, after a short stay in Paris he lived in Amsterdam again from 1652 and became a member of the Confrérie Pictura in The Hague from 1656 to 1658 . 1675 return to Italy. In addition to Arcadian landscapes, he also created genre scenes , history pictures , portraits and around 50 etchings.
