Karel Elodie Ziketh gained her first international experience at the 2016 African Championships in Durban , where she finished sixth in 13.68 seconds. The following year she won the Francophonie Games in Abidjan in 44.22 s with the Ivorian 4 x 100 meter relay and could not finish her race in the hurdles. She then retired at the Summer Universiade in Taipei with 14.40 s in the lead, as well as at the 2018 World Indoor Championships in Birmingham with 8.43 s in the 60-meter hurdles. In August she was fifth in the hurdles at the African Championships in Asaba in 13.70 s and secured the silver medal behind Nigeria with the relay in 44.40 s. The following year she reached the final at the African Games in Rabat , but could not finish her run there.
