Karin Kaiser (born 1962 or 1963 ) is a German university professor , auditor , tax advisor and politician ( AfD ).

biography

After graduating from the Theodor-Heuss-Gymnasium in Göttingen and training as a savings bank clerk , Kaiser completed a degree in business administration at the Georg-August University in Göttingen , which she graduated in 1989 with a diploma. In 1994 the doctorate to Dr. rer. pole. She then became a tax advisor and auditor and worked, among other things, as an authorized signatory for PricewaterhouseCoopers until she became a professor at the Kiel University of Applied Sciences in 2007 .

In 2009, Kaiser and the Kiel University of Applied Sciences split in disagreement after Kaiser unsuccessfully sued for their lifelong civil service . She later became a professor at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences , where she held courses on the subjects of bookkeeping , external accounting , law firm management and professional law , international accounting and investment , and was the coordinator of the dual study program "Taxes and Auditing".

politics

In the 2017 federal election , Kaiser in Schleswig-Holstein ran for the AfD, but was not given a seat in the Bundestag. In September she was planning an event on the subject of "Death of the Rule of Law " in the university. An initially granted approval was revoked with reference to the university's duty to be politically neutral after it had sent invitations to parties and other organizations with the request to position themselves clearly on the issue so that voters would have a basis for decision-making.

Labor law dispute

At the end of 2017, the Kaiser University of Applied Sciences gave notice without notice because it had taken on unauthorized secondary employment , had missed one of its lectures without excuse and had appointed an external lecturer without authorization . The college said the termination had nothing to do with the planned and canceled event in September.

The Mönchengladbach labor court approved a dismissal protection suit from Kaiser's right. The long-known and previously approved sideline job for a number of years is disproportionate as a reason for termination , as is the use of an external representative. An attempt at an agreement with the help of a judge failed. The Düsseldorf Regional Labor Court finally overturned the termination. The allegations against Kaiser are not sufficient reasons or have already been used up by warnings . Another accusation that she defamed other employees was too general and not proven by the university. Their party-political orientation does not justify the termination either. An appeal to the Federal Labor Court was not permitted.
