Karin Metzler-Müller

Karin Metzler-Müller (* 1956 in Bad Orb ) is a German lawyer , professor of civil and service law and chairwoman of the Friends of the Bad Orb Opera Academy .

Life

After graduating from the Grimmelshausen Gymnasium in Gelnhausen , she completed an eight-semester law degree at the University of Giessen and Cambridge . She was a research assistant at the chair for civil law ( Gerhard Köbler ) and a scholarship holder of the Cusanuswerk . The doctorate to Dr. jur. took place at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt . After passing the second state examination in law , she worked as a lawyer for a year ; She then worked for over seven years as a human resources officer in a higher federal authority and as an honorary judge at the labor court in Offenbach am Main . Since 1991 she has been teaching as a professor for civil law and service law at the Hessian University for Police and Administration . She is the author or co-author of several textbooks and commentaries in the areas of civil law and civil service law and co-editor of the collection of regulations for the administration in Hesse and the collection of regulations for the training and further education of the administration in Hesse. She is a member of the German-British Lawyers' Association, is married and has two grown sons.
