particularities
The café house, a school-owned project in which students, parents and teachers volunteer in the school's cafeteria to offer sustainably and fairly produced drinks and snacks in a cozy atmosphere.
Since 1962 the school has had its own jazz cellar, where life jazz was played first; later the "cellar" was transformed into Hesse's only official school discotheque. The original jazz cellar no longer exists; However, the alumni association organizes a so-called "Jazzkeller Revival" twice a year in the school's culture cellar . The culture cellar is housed in the former bicycle cellar, which existed until the mid-1990s.
The addressable, an ecumenically occupied project with its own room, in which, in addition to committed schoolchildren, a youth deacon of the Protestant church and a pastoral advisor from the Fulda diocese as school pastor are available as contact persons for problems.
A scientific library with an extensive collection of specialist works and the Grimmels-Buchland with entertainment literature for all ages.
The grammar school is a secondary school sports center, a certified MINT- friendly school, a certified environmental school, an Exam Preparation Center for the Cambridge Certificate and, since 2019, an Erasmus + school.
