Karin Schlager (born May 1, 1965 in Vienna ) is an Austrian master goldsmith , jeweler , gemologist and jewelery expert .

Life

Karin Schlager studied pedagogy , special and curative education at the University of Vienna , where she completed her master's degree. Your master's thesis was titled What is creative teaching? Analysis of lesson design . During and after her studies, she worked as a flight attendant for Austrian Airlines and Lufthansa for 23 years .

At the Contemporary Jewelery School Alchimia in Florence she learned granulation goldsmithing with Giovanni Corvaja. In 2011, Schlager passed her master's examination as a goldsmith and silversmith and as a jeweler. In addition, she qualified as a gemologist WIFI Austria - GWA (2012) and European Gemmologist - EG at the Gemmological Academy Linz .

Since 2020 she has appeared in the ServusTV series Bares for Rares Austria as an expert for the evaluation of historical and modern jewelry.
