Karine Berger (born March 11, 1973 in Limoges ) is a French politician . She has been a member of the National Assembly since 2012, where she is a member of the Finance Committee.

Berger studied from 1993 at the École polytechnique in Palaiseau near Paris . After graduating in 1998, she worked for the Ministry of Finance and the national statistics agency INSEE, among others . In 2000 she joined the Parti socialiste (PS), in which she quickly gained a foothold, so that in 2005 she entered the National Council for the PS. For professional reasons, she initially lived in Paris and from 2003 in Gap , as she was to run for the 2007 parliamentary elections in the Hautes-Alpes department . After her failure in 2007, Berger ran again in the parliamentary elections in 2012 and was elected to the National Assembly at the second attempt.
