Karl-August Herbeck (born September 24, 1951 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Karl-August Herbeck played with Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga . He made his debut in the 1971/72 season when he was substituted on on the 33rd matchday in the away game against Eintracht Frankfurt . In the next two seasons he played 14 more games in the Bundesliga until he was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga with his club . In the following season, the team achieved immediate promotion to the Bundesliga. Herbeck then left Hannover 96 and moved to city rivals OSV Hannover , who was playing in the major league at that time. In the next few years he played 126 league games, before with the OSV, as the champion ofOberliga Nord , promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga. Herbeck was able to stay in the second division for two years with the OSV, then he was relegated to the bottom of the table. At this point he left the OSV and went to SV Arminia Hannover , where he played two more years of league football. Herbeck then ended his career with Niedersachsen Döhren .
