Karl-Eberhard Feussner

Karl-Eberhard Feußner (born February 25, 1959 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German art historian. Since 2001 he has been the director of the Monument Academy and a consultant for the preservation and protection of monuments .

biography

Feußner studied art history, law and classical archeology in Freiburg im Breisgau and Frankfurt am Main , with Gottfried Kiesow , Ernst-Wolfgang Böckenförde and Hans von Steuben , among others .

After completing his studies, he founded a private research association for building research in 1987 and taught at the art history institute of the Goethe University in Frankfurt . In 1997 he was co-founder of "denk-mal Consulting" and since then has been advising private monument owners and public institutions on the renovation of old buildings and dealing with monument preservation and monument protection

In 1999 he was appointed managing director of the Görlitz advanced training center for handicrafts and monument preservation. In 2001 he became head of the Memorial Academy in Schloss Romrod, Frankfurt am Main and Görlitz.
