Karl-Heinz Brücken (born September 24, 1947 ) is a former German football player . He has played a total of 71 league games in the Bundesliga for the clubs Arminia Bielefeld and Fortuna Düsseldorf and scored eight goals.

Career

The midfielder and striker began his career with the Grevenbroich club SV Rot-Weiss Elfgen and played for the regional league club Bayer 04 Leverkusen from 1967 . In his first season in Leverkusen, 1967/68 , he was able to celebrate the championship in the West Regional Football League under coach Theo Kirchberg and alongside ex-national player Leo Wilden . In the Bundesliga promotion round, there were seven more games against Kickers Offenbach, TuS Neuendorf, Tennis Borussia Berlin and Arminia Hanover. In the 4-1 win on June 12, 1968 against the "Veilchen" from Berlin, the attacker scored three goals. Overall, he is led with 119 regional league games and 36 goals for Bayer Leverkusen. In 1970 he moved to Arminia Bielefeld , who had just been promoted to the Bundesliga . On the first day of play, August 15, 1970, he made his debut in the away game against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. For Arminia he scored eight goals in 61 Bundesliga games, seven of which he scored in the second season 1971/72. During the 1972/73 season, Brücken moved to Borussia Dortmund before moving to Bundesliga club Fortuna Düsseldorf in 1974 . He only played ten times for Fortuna and did not score a goal. In 1976 he moved to the second division Westfalia Herne , where he played for two years. He scored 15 goals in 71 games for Westfalia. In May 1978 he scored the goal of the month in the game against Fortuna Köln . From 1978 to 1980 Karl-Heinz Brücken was a player-coach at TuS Grevenbroich before ending his career.
