Karl-Heinz Götze (born August 31, 1917 in Bremen ; † November 19, 1976 in Bremen) was a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and union official .

biography

education and profession

He attended the Dechanatstrasse secondary school in Bremen and graduated from high school. He served as a soldier in World War II . After the war he worked as an employee for the US occupation forces in the House of Wealth until around 1950.

He was a member of the ÖTV trade union . In 1953 he was appointed secretary of the DGB . In the union he was a member of the collective bargaining committee of the state of Bremen.

Since 1971 - after having been a member of parliament - he became director of the Society for Public Baths in Bremen.

politics

Götze joined the SPD in 1949. From October 11, 1959 to 1967 he was elected to Bremen's citizenship . In the 1960s he was a member and chairman of the budget committee and a member of the financial deputation of the citizenry. As a politician, he was a very close confidante of the then powerful SPD parliamentary group leader Richard Boljahn .
