Karl-Heinz Kerll

Karl-Heinz Kerll (born March 1, 1930 in Münster ; † October 15, 2010 ) was a German sports official. He was a member of the board of the Association of German Sports Divers (VDST) and for many years Vice President of the International Diving Association (CMAS).

Career

Kerll was born as the son of Heinrich and Marie Kerll. After studying chemistry, which he graduated with a diploma, he worked as a managing director in the management of several companies in Germany and abroad.

In addition to his professional sphere of activity, he played a key role in shaping the development of diving in various functions from the early 1960s.

He also dealt with the subject of earth rays . In over 100 lectures he conveyed information about this phenomenon and wrote several books on it.

In the course of his life, Kerll collected a large number of documents and photos on the history of recreational diving in Germany. He also published a few books. His extensive diving archive came into the possession of the VDST after his death and is currently in the association's office in Offenbach am Main.
