Karl-Heinz Werle

Karl-Heinz Werle (born August 8, 1925 in Mackenbach ; † January 25, 2009 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school , advanced school and teacher training institute, the first teacher examination followed in 1943 and the second teacher examination in 1951. He did military service in the Navy (last rank: Lieutenant Captain d. Res.). After the war he was able to take his Abitur in 1946 . He worked as a teacher at various schools in the Palatinate and was headmaster at a primary school in Mackenbach.

Political party

Werle was a member of the SPD. He was the chairman of the local association in Mackenbach, deputy chairman of the subdistrict and a member of the SPD district committee for the Palatinate and the SPD state committee .

Public offices

Landtag Rhineland-Palatinate

Werle was elected to the Rhineland-Palatinate Landtag in the 1975 state elections and was a member of it for three terms from May 20, 1975 to June 2, 1987. He was a member of the Home Affairs Committee for all three terms. In the 10th electoral term he was vice chairman of the committee.

Communal functions

From 1956 to 1957 was a member of the local council of Steinwend and from 1956 to 1991 a member of the district council . From 1969 to 1992 he was honorary mayor in Mackenbach. He was also a member of the Weilerbach municipal council and was temporarily chairman of the SPD parliamentary group.

Other engagement

Werle was a member of the GEW . He was on the board of the regional representation of the planning community West Palatinate , on the board of trustees of the University of Mainz , on the board of trustees of the University of Kaiserslautern and on the supervisory board of the Raiffeisenbank West Palatinate.
