Karl Albert von Baur
Karl Albert Baur , from 1906 by Baur , (born July 13, 1851 in Munich , † August 22, 1907 in Unterammergau ) was a German landscape painter.
In his youth, Karl Albert Baur was taught drawing and painting by the landscape painter Johann Nepomuk Ott . He first studied philosophy and classical archeology at the University of Munich . From October 29, 1875 he studied in the class of antiquities at the Royal Academy of Arts in Munich with Gyula Benczúr , Ludwig von Löfftz and Wilhelm von Diez . Then he worked under the direction of Ludwig Willroider .
Karl Albert Baur visited Istria, Italy, Switzerland, the Austrian and German Alpine countries, as well as the main region.
Since 1883 he exhibited at the Munich Glass Palace exhibitions .
From 1886 to 1895 he was the secretary of the Munich artists' cooperative. In 1896 and 1897 he was chairman of the main board of the General German Art Cooperative .
In 1906 he was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown , with which the personal nobility was connected.
