Karl Arnd (theologian)
Karl Arnd (born July 21, 1673 in Güstrow , † April 26, 1721 in Rostock ) was a German Lutheran theologian.
Arnd was a son of Pastor Josua Arnd , his uncle was Karl Arndt the elder . He studied Protestant theology at the University of Rostock . After successfully completing the course, he attended an educational colloquium for a while . During politically troubled times ( Great Northern War ) he was appointed principal of the Latin school in Malchin in 1703 . From 1704 until his death he taught at the University of Rostock, first as ao. Professor of Philosophy, from 1708 professor of the Hebrew language and Christian catechesis.
Arnd wrote a biography of his father Joshua, a Hebrew grammar for school lessons and several works on literary history.
