Karl Bierschel (born March 1, 1932 in Krefeld ) is a former German ice hockey player .
Athletic career
Karl Bierschel played from 1950/51 to 1962/63 for the Krefeld EV from 1936, with whose first team he became German champions in 1951/52 . With the KEV youth teams, for which he played from 1947/48, he also won the German championship title in 1948 and 1949.
Internationally he was in the squad of the German national ice hockey team between 1951 and 1956, where he
- at the Winter Olympics in 1952 and 1956 and
- at the ice hockey world championships in 1953 , where he was runner-up in the world championship, and in 1955
participated.
He is a member of the Hockey Hall of Fame Germany of the German Ice Hockey Museum.
Life
In addition to his sporting career, Karl Bierschel was the owner of a butcher's shop in Krefeld .
