Karl Bundschuh

Karl Bundschuh (born February 23, 1871 in Salzburg , † September 24, 1935 in Braunau am Inn , Upper Austria ) was an Austrian teacher and Christian social politician .

The shoemaker's son attended the teacher training college and worked as a teacher in various places. In 1893 he passed the teaching qualification test and came to the community school in Gmunden . In 1911 he became the director of this school and remained so until his retirement. He became a district school inspector and councilor. Bundschuh founded the Catholic regional teachers' association in Upper Austria and was its chairman between 1898 and 1912. In addition, he also edited the magazine "The Catholic School Papers".

In 1909 Bundschuh became a member of the state parliament , then a member of the provisional state assembly 1918/1919 for the Christian Social Party. From 1902 to 1912 he was also a member of the city council of Gmunden.
