Karl Crüwell

Karl Gottlob Crüwell (born May 30, 1845 in Paderborn ; † July 11, 1899 in Annaberg ) was a German businessman and national liberal politician .

Live and act

The son of the bookseller Wilhelm Adolph Crüwell from Paderborn settled down as a merchant in the Erzgebirge mountain town of Annaberg. He was a partner in the company CG Flor, a silk, thread and publishing business that produced semi-finished products for trimmings . From 1887 until his death he represented the 19th urban constituency in the second chamber of the Saxon state parliament . He belonged to the national liberal parliamentary group and was from 1893 to 1899 a board member of the national liberal state association.

In his hometown of Annaberg, he made special contributions to the building of the local theater, today's Eduard-von-Winterstein-Theater . He was the chairman of the local theater building association.
