Karl Dummler

Karl Dummler (born April 16, 1921 in Gochsheim , Baden, † March 31, 2010 in Stuttgart ) was a German lawyer in the church service.

Career

After receiving his doctorate in law, Dummler worked for the leadership of the Evangelical Church in Württemberg from 1953 . He was initially responsible for the budget and finance of the regional church. From 1971 he was chairman of the tax commission of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) and gained a nationwide reputation as an expert in church tax law. From 1955 until his retirement in July 1986 he was a member of the Stuttgart Higher Church Council and from 1979 its director.

From 1955 to 1971 he was a member of the Broadcasting Council of the Süddeutscher Rundfunk (SDR) and was a member of the Baden-Württemberg State School Advisory Board. In addition, he was a board member and treasurer of the Working Group of Protestant Youth in Germany.
