Karl Eberhardt (District Administrator)

Karl Gottlob Eberhardt (born June 13, 1884 in Stuttgart , † December 31, 1980 in Tübingen ) was an administrative officer in Württemberg.

Life

The son of a bank controller studied law at the University of Tübingen , among other places . As a student he became a member of the Tübingen and Leipzig Wingolf . In 1904 he passed the first and in 1910 the second state examination for the higher judicial service. In July 1910 he joined the Württemberg interior administration and worked in various positions until 1919. In 1919 he was appointed as an assessor. In 1921 he Regierungsrat and 1926 upper government. Part-time he was employed as State Commissioner at the Württemberg Savings Banks and Giro Association. From 1928 to 1932 he was entrusted with the management of the Oberamt Heidenheim . He was then promoted to the Ministerial Council and transferred back to the Ministry of the Interior, where he worked as chief rapporteur in various departments. At the end of April 1945 he was posted to Nürtingen as a provisional district administrator , but was deposed and dismissed by the US military government in February 1946. After he had never been a member of the NSDAP , he was able to resume office in May 1946. In August 1946, Karl Eberhardt took over the management of the main administration in the Württemberg-Baden Ministry of Agriculture as Ministerialrat . In 1949 he was promoted to Ministerial Director, and on June 30, 1950 he retired.

In January and February 1946, as a representative of the district administrators, he was a member of the provisional parliament for Württemberg-Baden .
