Karl Eduard Paulus
Karl Eduard Paulus , from 1873 by Paulus , (born January 30, 1803 in Berghausen near Speyer , † June 16, 1878 in Stuttgart ) was a Württemberg topographer .
From 1824 until his retirement in 1877 he was a member of the Royal Statistical-Topographical Bureau . In 1873 he was awarded the Knight's Cross 1st Class of the Order of the Württemberg Crown , with which the elevation to the non-hereditary nobility was connected.
Paulus, awarded the title Finance Councilor since 1862, was responsible for the content of numerous descriptions of the Württemberg Oberamt . He also published a number of historical and archaeological articles.
He was the father of Eduard Paulus the Younger , who followed in his footsteps.
