Karl Elbs
Karl Joseph Xaver Elbs (born September 13, 1858 in Alt-Breisach , † August 24, 1933 in Gießen ) was a German chemist .
Life
Elbs was when Adolf Claus at the University of Freiburg with the issue of contributions to the knowledge of the Amarins doctorate . His doctoral supervisor was Adolf Claus. He then taught and researched at the University of Giessen .
The Elbs oxidation is named after Karl Elbs and was described by him in 1893.
