Karl Ellinger

Karl Ellinger (born March 25, 1952 in Braunau am Inn ) is an Austrian educator, composer and columnist .

Live and act

From 1969 onwards, Ellinger attended the Higher Graphic Education and Research Institute in Vienna and graduated from the technical school for reproduction photography in 1973 .

In 1973/74 he studied at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz and from 1974 at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Helmut Eder and Cesar Bresgen . From 1980 he devoted himself to studying harmony (international history of musical moods , mathematics of European mood history) as well as the theory and practice of microtonal composition with Rolf Maedel . He became a member of the Cooperative for Computer Music and took courses with Irmfried Radauer .

In 1986 Ellinger founded a private music school in Braunau am Inn - the school for music and language, which he has been leading ever since. In addition, he carries out various compositional commissioned work. Since 1989 he has been a member of the Innviertel artists' guild and the International Society for New Music (IGNM) . Since 2009 he has been a member of the International Society for Ekmelic Music.

Ellinger is a columnist for the regional Innviertel newspaper Braunauer Warte (since 2009) and as such has published his satires in book form.
