Karl Engelhardt (politician)

Karl Engelhardt (born September 7, 1876 in Lichtenhof , † December 24, 1955 in Heidelberg ) was a German teacher and Bremen politician ( SPD ).

biography

Engelhardt was the son of an office assistant. He studied in Würzburg and obtained his doctorate as Dr. phil. During his studies in 1894 he became a member of the Germania fraternity in Würzburg . He was a study assessor and trainee lawyer and then a teacher and from 1906 to 1928 senior teacher at the Vegesack Realgymnasium in Vegesack and at the Realgymnasium in Bremen . After retiring, he moved to Baden-Baden . He wrote a number of theater plays as temporal dramas, u. a. "More Sun" (1900).

politics

Engelhardt was a member of the SPD. From 1924 to 1928 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

Honors

He was appointed professor by the Bremen Senate in the 1920s.
