Karl Friedrich von Papstein

Karl Friedrich von Papstein (* 1679 in Neumark ; † 1733 ) was a Prussian major general and chief of the cuirassier regiment No. 7 .

Life

His father was Jakob von Papstein (1649–1717). The Prussian major general Jakob Christoph von Papstein was his nephew.

Papstein joined the Brandenburg service in 1698 and switched to the Leib-Dragoon Regiment (Wreech) on January 30, 1712 . On September 23, 1716 he was appointed colonel and in 1729 he received the cuirassier regiment "Lottum". In 1733, at his request, he received his departure as major general with a pension of 900 thalers. But he died in 1733.
