Heldmann belonged to the FSV Frankfurt as a midfielder , for whom he initially played point games in the 1932/33 championship held by the South German Football Association in the district league Main / Hessen . The season was quite successful for him and his team, as the Main group emerged victorious - even before Eintracht Frankfurt - and then won the North / South group within the final round of the South German Championship, as was the case on April 30, 1933 won the final with 1: 0 against TSV 1860 Munich , the winner of the group east / west. In the subsequent final round of the German championship , he came on May 7, 1933 in the 6-1 round of 16 victory over PSV Chemnitz , in which he scored his only goal.
