Karl Heldmann

Karl Heldmann (born February 22, 1872 in Hohenhausen ; † November 5, 1914 near Moorslede , Belgium ) was a German lawyer and politician .

Life

Coming from an old Lemgo family, Heldmann studied law in Marburg and Göttingen after attending grammar school in Detmold . During his studies he was a member of the Alemannia Marburg fraternity from 1890 to 1892 . After completing his studies, he became first councilor of the city administration in Detmold. In August 1900 he was mayor in Salzuflen and was then 1906-1914 mayor in Eckernförde . During the First World War he took part in the fighting in Flanders as a first lieutenant in the Reserve Infantry Regiment No. 3 , where he fell.
